Braised pork, Japanese style

It's easy, but you can make tender boiled pork without pressure cooker. It is also good as a side dish for lunch!

[Ingredients] Serves 2-3

・Pork block 700g
・400cc Water 
・200cc of cooking sake
・100cc of soy sauce
・Ginger (about 3cm tube)
・50cc Mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
・3 tablespoons sugar

[Step1]

Boil the pork for 30 minutes.
To parboil, place the pork in water and simmer over low heat until it boils, then remove the meat.

[Step2]

Once boiled, remove the meat and cut into large pieces. Then, put 400cc Water, 200cc of cooking sake, 100cc of soy sauce, Ginger (about 3cm tube), 50cc Mirin (sweet cooking rice wine), 3 tablespoons sugar in a pot and boil for about 1 hour. You can also make boiled eggs if you like!

[Step3]

When the liquid is reduced, it is done.
If you eat it with shredded green onion, the rice will go well with it!
