Boiled Tender Chicken Breasts and Thighs

This dish is made by boiling chicken breast meat in a salted chicken-like preparation and then pouring a spicy sauce over it. It's a simple dish, but it's sure to give you energy.

[Ingredients] Serves 1-2

1)300g (approx. 1 piece) chicken breast or thigh meat
2)1/2 tablespoon sake
3)1/2 teaspoon sugar
4)1/8 teaspoon salt
5)400cc water (for boiling chicken breast)

6)The green part at the end of the leek

 

*sauce

1)1 tablespoon soy sauce
2)1 teaspoon sugar
3)2 teaspoons vinegar
4)1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
5)1/2 teaspoon chili oil
6)2cm (1/4 inch) grated garlic (tube)

[Step1]

Rub the chicken breast with sake, sugar, and salt and leave for about 30 minutes. (You can also leave it in the refrigerator for about half a day.)

[Step2]

Put 400cc of water, chicken and green onions into a frying pan.

Cover the lid and place over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes.

Open the lid, flip the chicken over, cover again, and simmer for 3 minutes, then turn off the heat. (Adjust the simmering time as needed.)

Leave the lid on for about 20 minutes.

[Step3]

Remove the chicken from the frying pan and slice to your desired thickness.

Place the chicken breasts on a plate and pour the sauce over them to finish.
