Spinach with Sesame Sauce

This simple spinach with sesame paste is easy to make with just one ingredient and basic seasonings, and is highly recommended when you need a side dish or just need one more dish.
The slightly sweet flavor and savory sesame paste mix with the soy sauce to create an appetizing dish. Please try it!

<Total time : 5-10mins>

<Ingredients for 4 serving>

  • 1 bunch spinach
  • Salt to taste
  • 15g ground sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Step 1:

Cook spinach in salted boiling water. When spinach turns bright green, remove from cold water and squeeze to drain.

Step 2:

Cut spinach into 1-inch pieces.

Step 3:

Make the dressing. Combine sesame seeds, sugar, and soy sauce.

Step 4:

Add 2. and dressing to complete the dish

 ほうれん草の胡麻和え

Tips:

  • Boil the spinach for a short time because the residual heat will cook the spinach after boiling. Be careful not to cook it too long or it will become too lumpy.
  • Add a pinch of salt as too much will make it too salty. You can choose your favorite part: shoulder loin for those who prefer it rich, and loin for those who prefer it light.
Enjoy a Teishoku-style meal!
