This is the work of Choza Yamamoto of Myosen Tobo, a proud master of Kutaniyaki, who aspires to reproduce the indigo Kutani style in the modern age. As the official kiln of the Imperial Household Agency, his works have received tremendous support from various quarters.
He is a master potter who believes that "a pottery comes alive only when it is used." He continues to create his works with great care, not only in terms of materials and design, but also in terms of size and ease of use. He paints gentle and elegant wares with delicate underglaze blue lines, and his wares, produced by one of the few traditional techniques called "katauchi," are surprisingly lightweight.
The lively and refined dyed patterns on this pottery give it a sense of elegance and refinement, making it the perfect accent for your dining table.
How about a top-quality piece for a rich dining table, for entertaining guests, or as a gift?
