Product Description
Teacups are called "Yunomi" in Japanese.
It is a vertical, cylindrical teacup that is commonly used for drinking Japanese tea by yourself. Because of its large capacity, the area where the tea touches the air is small, which means that it does not get cold easily. In Japanese sushi restaurants, it is traditional to serve tea in a yunomi.
"Aochibu" is a coloring technique used in Kutani ware. Can you see the tiny green dots? The uniformity of the size, color, and spacing of the dots requires a precise technique. This technique was popularized in the Taisho era (1912-1926) and is a representative design of Kutani ware.
This pair of yunomi is slightly different in size. We hope you will use them together with your family or friends.

How to care for Kutani ware>
Adorned with exquisite floral colors and gold paint doesn’t mean it was designed just for display. Kutani pottery was designed and made for daily joy. With proper care and knowledge, this timeless piece promises years of delightful use.
-
You can use a soft sponge and a mild detergent to clean the dish. It is important to wash gently with a soft sponge or cloth.
-
While you can use a dishwasher, we recommend hand washing as much as possible for some items such as those made of gold and silver, which tend to peel off after a long period of use.
-
Do not use products made of gold or silver in the microwave or oven. Sparks may fly off and cause the surface to become dirty or damaged.
-
The dish may crack when there is a sudden change in temperature, such as when the plate is placed in cold water immediately after being heated in a microwave.
