Product Description

Playful rabbits bound across soft green grass while a warm yellow moon rises above. Each scene is brushed free-hand in the signature multi-color glazes of Kutani ware, turning an everyday mug into a small moment of calm.

Highlights

  • Authentic Kutani Craft – Wheel-thrown porcelain from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, renowned for vivid over-glaze painting since the 17th century.

  • One-of-a-Kind Artwork – No decals or prints; every rabbit, blade of grass, and moon is individually painted, so no two mugs are exactly alike.

  • Comfortable to Hold – A gently flared lip, balanced foot, and twisted-vine handle offer a light, secure grip for both coffee and tea.

  • Easy Everyday Care – Durable porcelain with a clear gloss finish—microwave safe (low/medium heat) and top-rack dishwasher safe.

How to care for Kutani ware

    Care and Maintenance

Adorned with exquisite floral colors and gold paint doesn’t mean it was designed just for display.

Kutani pottery was designed and made for daily joy.

With proper care and knowledge, this timeless piece promises years of delightful use.

Hand washing is recommended whenever possible

You can use a soft sponge and a mild detergent to clean the dish. It is important to wash gently with a soft sponge or cloth.

While you can use a dishwasher, we recommend hand washing as much as possible for some items such as those made of gold and silver, which tend to peel off after a long period of use.

    Be careful with microwave ovens

Do not use products made of gold or silver in the microwave or oven.

Sparks may fly off and cause the surface to become dirty or damaged.

    Rapid Temperature Changes

Rapid temperature changes, such as sudden cooling or heating, may cause the tableware to crack or break.

Do not place hot tableware on a cold surface, or pour hot food into cold tableware.
