This piece has a black ground, which is rare for Kutani Yaki, and the pattern is decorated with a technique called Kaki-oshi. It is painted in black and red only, without using the representative Kutani Five Colors. Red flowers are an important element in Japanese nature, culture and tradition, and have beauty and symbolism.

 

Not only can it be used as a main dish or pasta dish, but it is also versatile enough to be used at a party.

With proper care and knowledge, this timeless piece promises years of delightful use.​

Hand washing is recommended whenever possible

You can use a soft sponge and a mild detergent to clean the dish. It is important to wash gently with a soft sponge or cloth.​ 

While you can use a dishwasher, we recommend hand washing as much as possible for some items such as those made of gold and silver, which tend to peel off after a long period of use.​

Be careful with microwave ovens

Do not use products made of gold or silver in the microwave or oven. 

Sparks may fly off and cause the surface to become dirty or damaged.​
