Product Description
It is a copy of the “Blue Handed Gourd with Split Pine Trees,” a masterpiece of Ko-Kutani handed down from the Edo period to the present. The split pine tree seen through the gourd-shaped window on the yellow ground gives a sense of depth, and the circles painted in black all over the surface look like a leopard pattern, making this a contemporary piece.
It is the perfect size for use as a small bowl to hold drop of broth when eating soba or noodle, or to hold side dishes or desserts such as pudding. Even though it is small, this bowl has a strong presence.
