Autumn cherry blossoms are called "cosmos" because they resemble the petals of cherry blossoms. Although it looks like a flower native to Japan, it is actually a flower of the chrysanthemum family, native to Mexico, and is said to have come to Japan around the Meiji period (1868-1912).
The language of the cosmos flowers is " maiden sincerity," "harmony," and "modesty. Cosmos also has other flower words such as "maiden's purity" and "beauty. It is a flower with a feminine and graceful image.
With a capacity of approx. 200 cc, it is an easy size to use not only for tea, but also as a small bowl for serving dessert or a small side dish.
The Seiko kiln is a famous Kutani kiln for color painting. The originally developed Japanese paints with a sense of transparency and layers of depth enhance the charm of the works.
