A design with flowers and birds is collectively called hanacho-mon (flower and bird design). In many cases it is not clear what kind of flower or bird is being depicted. Of course, there are patterns that can be clearly identified. As for these plates, the inside has a pattern called yorakumon, which is used on high-quality dyed porcelain. The transparency and depth of the layers of Japanese colors add to the charm of the work.
The base color is a deep blue in various shades, with red, green and yellow as accent colors, creating a calm yet colorful dining experience.
