Using techniques handed down from generation to generation, Taishi Kiln produces pottery with the themes of "modern designs with tradition" and "ease of use in daily life.
The name of the kiln, "Taishi," was inspired by the words of Dr. Clark, the father of Hokkaido, "Boys, be ambitious! The kiln continues to pursue new Kutaniyaki with the idea of "expressing new Kutaniyaki while respecting the traditions of Kutani.
